Often called the Super Bowl of rib competitions, this legendary Labor Day Weekend festival takes over more than six city blocks in downtown Sparks. Two dozen of the nation’s top BBQ teams battle for nearly $20,000 in prize money and serious bragging rights, while 350,000–400,000 hungry fans roll through each year, devouring more than 250,000 pounds of ribs during the six‑day celebration.

Beyond world‑class BBQ, the event features a massive arts & crafts show, kids’ activities, VIP areas, and top‑tier entertainment across two stages. Admission is free and open to the public — it’s one of the biggest, boldest food festivals in America.
